BILL MARVIN – President, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder – Before founding InstaMed, Bill was an executive in Accenture’s Health and Life Sciences practice.  Bill worked with senior executives at clients such as UnitedHealth Group, U.S. Department of Treasury, WellPoint Health Networks and other large blues plans where he developed strategies and led projects in the areas of transaction processing, web-portals, provider adoption and medical management.  Bill was also the founder and CEO of CareWide, which developed Microsoft-based software for managing provider offices and was acquired by Amicore, a joint venture of Microsoft and Pfizer, and now is a part of AllScripts.  Bill graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and was a member of the varsity squash team. Bill has been involved as a member and active board member with several not-for-profit organizations.

CHRIS SEIB – Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder – Before founding InstaMed, Chris was an executive in Accenture’s Health and Life Sciences practice. Chris focused on architecting and delivering portal and connectivity solutions at clients such as UnitedHealth Group, WellPoint Health Networks and many regional health plans. Chris has managed large teams of people in multi-project initiatives, such as eCommerce development, software application development and operations. Additionally, Chris has been involved in strategic development efforts regarding government health initiatives, consumer-directed health plans and direct connectivity between providers and payers. Chris has certifications and expertise in Programming, Architecture, User Experience, Database Technologies, Networks, Network Architecture, Security and Project Management. Chris is a named inventor of multiple patents and patent applications held by InstaMed. Chris graduated Cum Laude from Harvey Mudd College with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a minor in Economics. Chris was also a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, captain of varsity water polo and an All-American. Chris is an active board member of the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Foundation, and an avid fan of water sports including boating and surfing.

MARK KRAPELS – Chief Operating Officer – Before joining InstaMed, Mark was Director of Global IT Infrastructure at Shire Pharmaceuticals, a global specialty biopharmaceutical company with annual sales of over $2 billion.  At Shire, Mark led the initiative to consolidate and centralize IT Infrastructure Services in Shire’s new North American headquarters for the global delivery of Shire’s IT services. Several multi-billion dollar acquisitions were integrated into this new infrastructure, which enabled Shire to support its rapid growth. Prior to Shire, Mark was an executive in Accenture’s Global Architecture and Core Technology group, where he specialized in IT Operations, Outsourcing and IT Service Management/Delivery.  The majority of Mark’s clients were large global companies in the healthcare/life sciences and financial services industries.  Mark graduated Cum Laude from the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunications.  He also completed a research program on high-speed indoor wireless data communications at King’s College London, UK, the results of which have been published and presented at several IEEE conferences.  In his free time, Mark enjoys racquet sports, traveling and spending time with his wife and children.

JON NEAL – Executive Vice President of Business Development – Before joining InstaMed, Jon was a Principal Consultant within Microsoft’s Health and Life Sciences division, managing the Microsoft and Accenture alliance in healthcare. Supporting a technical and business development background, Jon led strategic initiatives with clients (including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline and Accenture), both designing and launching critical line-of-business solutions, and developing go-to-market strategies. Jon was also involved in numerous other initiatives and verticals, including personally initiating more than a $100 million opportunity in the telecommunications industry. Prior to Microsoft, Jon was an independent consultant within the financial services industry, acting as lead software architect for several Wall Street firms. Jon graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and Lehigh University with a Masters and Ph.D. in Computer Science. Jon holds several national championship titles in speed boat racing. Jon enjoys scuba diving, hiking, downhill skiing, and traveling with his wife and five children.

PHILLIP T. MELLET – Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel – Before joining InstaMed, Phil was an attorney at Pepper Hamilton LLP, where he specialized in corporate and securities law.  His experience and expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, licensing matters, corporate governance and employee compensation matters.  While at Pepper, Phil played an important role in the IPO of a Philadelphia-based company with a market capitalization in excess of $1 billion and led multiple sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions in excess of $100 million.  Phil received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Penn State University and received his Master of Arts in Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Villanova University.  Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, traveling, running and playing basketball.

RICHARD M. CROSWELL – Senior Vice President of Network Adoption and Service – Before joining InstaMed, Rick was Senior Executive Vice President of MBNA/Bank of America, where he had direct responsibilities over the past three decades for Marketing, Advertising, Product Innovation, and implementing and managing large scale operational strategies. He was directly responsible for the innovation, development and market delivery of the credit card industry’s first non-American Express ‘Platinum’ card.  Rick also had direct responsibility for Operations Management, Worldwide Telemarketing, Customer Service call centers, IVR Development, Billing Dispute, Customer Retention and Customer Upsell, managing more than two million calls per day. Rick is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree and the School of Bank Marketing, Boulder, Colorado (graduate with distinction).  As a child, he was an Eagle Scout. Rick is currently active in the community, serving on the Executive Board of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

JEFF LIN – Senior Vice President of Product Management – As head of Product Management, Jeff leads the ongoing product innovation of InstaMed’s healthcare payment solutions. This includes the exploration, evolution and execution of InstaMed products that further simplify the healthcare payments process. Before joining InstaMed, Jeff was an executive at Accenture, where he led multiple enterprise projects for multiple Fortune 100 companies. Jeff’s experience and expertise include a deep focus in the areas of product management, product strategy, product marketing and developing strategic partnerships. Jeff graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and sons and traveling and dining around the world. Jeff earned the Eagle Scout ranking as a Boy Scout and is an avid fan of any activities in the California sunshine.

FRANK ADAMS – Chief Financial Officer – Frank brings to InstaMed over 20 years of financial, accounting and operational experience.  Prior to joining InstaMed, Frank was the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Arbinet Corporation, a leading telecommunication exchange and internet-based provider of international voice, data and managed communication services for fixed, mobile and wholesale carriers.  Frank was instrumental in Arbinet’s successful IPO in 2004.  Additionally, he led Arbinet’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance, risk management and treasury functions.  Prior to Arbinet, Frank worked with various companies in the gift and collectible industry, including Cast Art Industries, where he was Chief Financial Officer.  Frank began his career with Arthur Andersen in their Philadelphia, PA, office.  Frank graduated from Rutgers University with a Master of Arts in Business Administration and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Dickinson College.  He is a member of the AICPA and PICPA.  In his free time, Frank enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, family and friends, and playing volleyball.

KEN MACNEAL – Chief Administrative Officer and Treasurer – Ken graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Management.  He spent the next four years with KPMG in the Assurance Services group.  During his KPMG career, he was a Senior Accountant performing financial audits on various types of organizations, and then a Senior Consultant in the Information Risk Management (IRM) practice.  In the IRM practice as a Certified Information Systems Auditor, Ken focused on IT security analysis and consulting, specializing in SAS70 and general control reviews.  Some of his KPMG clients included Keystone Mercy Health Plan, Temple University Health System, Rohm & Haas, Airgas, SEPTA, York and Rollins Trucking.  Ken also worked for EDS Corporation in their consumer loans and lines of credit outsourcing group.  In this capacity, he spent four years in various operational and project leadership roles developing operational processes, driving productivity improvement, performing financial analysis and resolving client’s business issues and risks.  Ken has also invested in residential real estate, acting as accountant and property manager for his own rental properties.  Ken is a member and active board member of several not-for-profit organizations.  In his leisure time, Ken enjoys attending Celtic events, personal watercraft, motorcycles and antique convertibles.

DEIRDRE RUTTLE – Vice President of Marketing – Before joining InstaMed, Deirdre held senior marketing roles at alphaBroder and, where she led marketing strategy to drive usage of B2B and B2C ecommerce platforms. Deirdre’s experience and expertise include a deep focus in the areas of segmentation strategies, digital marketing and multi-channel marketing campaign development. Deirdre graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts in English. In her free time, Deirdre enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and planning events, big and small, for friends and family.
